Well it's that time again Darlings! With only a few days left I would urge, prod, and poke you all into heading down to October's Trending Fashion Chamber to grab up the goodies this Dazzling Diva has wrangled from some of the most couture creators on the grid. And guess what my digital darlings... Nothing int he chamber is over 300L$. I know what a concept! Here are just a sampling of the scrumptious offerings the lady behind the lens has in her closet for you.

Featured here is KR Designs Yolande dress in golden flower. a OTFC exclusive! You won;t find this sizzling little number anywhere else. Pair it with Chop Zuey's Bauble bliss in Citrine, and her Betty does Bangkok bangle bracelet and you'll be turning heads as you stroll into you favourite disco.

Looking for something a little more professional for your daytime gig? Shey had graciously gifted the chamber with the Azrum dress and matching Ela pump. I added Chop Zuey's very classic Songs My Mother Taught in peridot to give it a little more of an elegant feel.

I was tickled Peridot when I found out the marvelous Miss Roussel had placed this picture perfect necklace in the chamber. At the amazingly low price of 300L$ you can drag you bestie with an August rez day down to snatch it up. as the jewel is this months birthstone!

The days are getting shorter my darlings and night is sweeping in faster each day. Seems like the perfect time for Vero Modero to release their Black Series. The tag line reads "If you love dark gowns, spiders, scorpions, fringes & glittering swirls...hurry down to the show room and pick up your favorite new addition to your wardrobe." Being the Scorpio baby that I am I couldn't resist slipping into a few of these dazzling numbers. 

SImply sensual aren't they? Miss Babii has once again moved fashion on SL another step forward. The Black Series has a little bit for everyone's pallet. I would suggest heading on down to the mainstore and indulging yourself in something a little darker, a little richer and a little wicked

No Denying Aphrodite

So my darlings as a lot of you know I am greek, and as a greek it's my cultural duty to to inspect anything bearing that name. So I sauntered over to the Goddesses of Olympus fashion show a few days ago where I was wow'd of course by all the offerings of the designers and models there but that's not what this post is about. I happened to strike up a conversation with a dazzlingly dressed woman next to me. Her name was Vivien Emerald, the designer behind Desir. So what does your fashion godmother do? Scan her profile and hop on the next SLURL to her shop where I picked up the lovely Aphrodite dress in pink because lets face it, I was on a Hellenic kick.

    

Fast forward a few days to the Sydney fashion week. My new acquaintance Ms. Emerald had mentioned she was having a show there and after seeing her work, Zeus would have struck me down with one of his lightning bolts if I didn't make my way over there. And as my dearest husband was in sorry need of a break from building I casually suggested he come along, after I sent the tp of course. Ms Emerald's show was amazing and again the models really kicked up the looks. NatalieWells's Deesse skins were also featured in the show. I'm in love with her new Cher make ups. They're based on Cher's performance in the movie, Burlesque.

 

When I saw the model rocking this lovely dress with its bluish green theme and amazing hem detail I was immediately reminded of my yiayia telling me the myth of Aphrodite rising out of the sea and once again my hellenic hiney scooted across the deck and snatched it right up. I then begged, prodded and pleaded my gracious hubby to let me use his city for the back drop even though it wasn't quite finished yet. You know my darlings, he does remind me of Hephaestus, Aphrodite's husband who, like my awesome pixel partner, was one of the most even-tempered of the Hellenic deities, at least when it came to Aphrodite's lovers… although my love affair is with F I NE S M I T H, [Lelutka], Vero Modero and various other shops as opposed to an endless string of greek gods and heroes.

So I would suggest you make your way over to the Sydney fashion week sim. The Desir dresses that were made especially for that show will only be in the Desir store on the yacht, then the fabulous Ms Emerald will lock up her goodies. Now I will leave you to your shopping. I have my own greek god needing me to do some texture or another for him… And remember, Aphrodite had the beauty, Zeus had the thunderbolts. Everyone loved Aphrodite but everyone listened to Zeus!

Princess Primer: A Fashion Godmother's guide to being SL Royalty

My Darlings,

True princess sparkle and have fire

        As cynical as SL might have made you, I think everyone has that little girl in them who still wants to wake up in the morning to a beautiful day, fall in passionate love and experience a life of pleasure and purpose. The word 'princess' doesn't just describe a woman of a royal family. It doesn't have as much today to do with family breeding, as much as personal breeding. By that I mean how you choose to cultivate your spirit and your life even here on SL. Princesses don't just exist in stories or palaces on RP Sims. Princesses are both common and rare. Please forgive me for sounding cheesy but we all really do have the potential to become this rare gem of a woman. 

Besides all the bibbity bobbity boo in the fashion world, one thing that rings true and every instructor has told me is you won't get anywhere unless you are sincere, kind and ingratiating. Which got me to thinking... that kind of sounds like what every good disney princess seems to have and something our little pixel world here could do with a little more of.

 1) What do you do when things go wrong? Oh! You sing a song!

       -I personally like to keep digital bebop on my iPod for those times when all hell has broken loose, the walk order is off kilter, my nails have broken and my mesh is bleeding all over the place. Find a tune that gets your Zen. 

2) There may be something there that wasn't there before.

- Take a look around at your fellow cast mates. Susie's barrette is  out of place. Johnny's got two sets of shoes on. Sl glitches all the time and depending on multiple factors we may think we look fabulous when in fact we've got a serious wardrobe malfunction. Help a fellow Digital darling out!

3)Everyone needs someone. She must need someone too. 

-40,000 people log into SL everyday and you probably have a good chunk of them on your friends list. Don't be afraid to say hello, how are you. Offer a joke and give them a laugh. There are a lot of lonely people in the world even here so share a smile you'll be guaranteed to get one back.

4) If you keep on believing, the dreams that you wish will come true.

- Never ever ever give up. There will be a lot of naysayers and hecklers and griefers but in the end if it's something you really want you grab the bull by both horns and get on for the ride of your life. I have met so many wonderful people here in SL and some not so wonderful. In SL monsters exist but like in fairytales monsters can be beaten.

5) And they lived happily ever after. 

-Well maybe not exactly but you will have a gorgeous Avi, an inventory full of awesome clothes and some of the most rockstar friends any pixel princess could have asked for.

Corset Diaries

My dearest digital darlings,

I have been dying to give you this post. I mean even in real life there is nothing that makes a woman more sexier (besides being completely deshabille in the boudoir) then a CORSET. Yes, yes. I hear you all screaming, "But Victoria that's so archaic so backwards!" Well darlings, no matter what size you are when your waist is pulled in and you have that hourglass line to your silhouette I dare you not to look in the mirror and smile a little at yourself, as you run your hand down your waspish waist. And think in Secondlife we can breathe while we wear them! Though I do miss the breathgasm when removing it . If you don't know what this is I pity you. You haven't experienced the sublime moment when your corset is removed for the night and you can truly exhale for the first time in hours!

Yes my dears you will turn heads in one this I promise you. Though my dear model friends. open that appearance window and click that slider to the right. Because they will look down right silly on you is your not just a little stacked on top. But don;t worry no fashion police officer would dare pull you over wearing these babies. Unless it was to frisk you! Oh *shivers*

I chose a few from Voluptia because Lady V just gets it right. I can feel my partners hands through the satin as his large fingers span my waist. His eyes on the supple line of my back as I lead him away from the gaiety of the evening to more... intimate moments. So without further adieu I present for you the corset diaries....

Dog Days of Summer

Hello again my digital darlings,

I know, I know. Victoria has been a bad Fashion Fairy Godmother but I am here to make it up to you. I don't normally request items to review, I prefer picking out what I like and writing to you about it but I saw this little item being passed around and I had to try it. Something about the cool sheer blouse and the last days of summer winding down just reminded me of summers gone by. Late nights on the boardwalk, getting the last few chances at that stuffed animal for your sweetie, sharing a funnel cake or or some salt water taffy with your best buds. Walking along a beach bathed in moonlight, your shoes in your hand as you let the surf tickle your toes as you said farewell to summer. Yes those wonderful memories of youth.

And that darlings is what this blouse by Kathleen invokes for this fashionista. The ocean breeze blowing through it keeping you cool and relaxed. This blouse in her very subtle colours of  blue, purple, rose, nude and black and white can easily carry your wardrobe into the early fall. Retail Therapy; Changing more then just your shoes

Hello my digital darlings!


I have had a very very tough virtual week, as some of you know I had a teeny tiny problem with SL this week....I couldn't log on. I know it was awful. I made an alt to pass the time away (which I will blog about soon I promise). And what does mama Vic say the cure for any SL woe is? New Clothes!

 So with a bit of a late start on the Hope for Emilia charity event that is raising funds to help the residents of the Emilia region of Italy after the devastating earthquake(s) which struck there early this summer. It always amazes me the impact the fashion world of SL can have on the real world. It really warms the cockles of my heart to see so many designers and creators coming together for the benefit of their fellow man. The sim is packed with some of SL's most creative minds and boy am I glad I didn't miss it. Many of my fellow bloggers have been posting the various items for sale there so I am attempting to blog about something they haven't. While the stalls are full of so many gorgeous things I took the my time strolling around the sim with my SL  daughter as she whizzed around on her roller skates. I was reminded of being a tourist in Italy browsing the shops along the palazzo. These thoughts in mind I stumbled upon the mesh halter dress from Ezura. The stylish short summer feel of the dress combined with the black straw sun hat is ideal for  shading your eyes and fine skin from the delightful yet deceptive Tuscan sun. A+ Ms Xue for truly capturing the feel of Bella Vita in this lovely outfit.

As I sashay'd my now alla moda avi back to my sim I noticed a few folks with some serious buongusto checking out my hubby, Karlinjames Zepp's Italian Villa which he has donated to the event. I quickly let them hop in my personal limo to come check and out this amazing build (that last bit is said with 100% sincerity, the Villa is after all how we met). For just 999L$, ALL of which is going to the charity, you too can own this pixel palace. Boasting a terrace with pool, living room, kitchen (with rustic cooking oven and counter tops), master bedroom and bath, bell tower, outdoor dance area and large recreation room this house is a steal at the price. After you rez it you can hire  the muscular descendants of Roman gods to do the heavy furniture lifting or at least thats what the house would lead you to believe. And a special thanks to LadyV of Voluptia for the fabulous lingerie, it really makes you feel like a goddess.
